We recently traveled to Orlando and checked out PopStroke, the fun restaurant/bar/mini golf concept spearheaded by Tiger Woods. Their slogan is “Eat. Drink. Putt.” and we did just that. It was a bright sunny Tuesday afternoon, perfect for draining some putts…and a bloody!

The “Hair of the Bird” at Bar Tenders leans into the restaurant’s chicken-forward theme in a fun way. At first glance, the drink itself looks fairly simple—just a seasoned rim and no towering garnish—but that’s because the crispy chicken slider arrives separately.

Made with Aspen vodka (or Flecha Azul tequila, if you prefer), horseradish, Worcestershire, olive juice, and hot sauce, the flavor is bold and nicely balanced. While it may not have the over-the-top garnish presentation some expect, the slider addition makes it a memorable and unique take.

Earlier this week, I was in Orlando for business and went out to dinner at Oceanaire’s Seafood Room.

Of course, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try out their bloody!

The drink arrived in a very tall, impressive glass as you can see. It also had one of my favorite fixin’s—shrimp.

Spice: Excellent flavor, Very smooth.(However, I will note that a coworker, upon seeing my Bloody, ordered his own with the request to make it spicy… it came back tasting like Worcestershire sauce. Not good!)

Mix: Unsure.

Chaser: None.

Fixin’s:  Lime, Olive and Shrimp!

Price: $Unknown

If you ever find yourself in a city with an Oceanaire’s, I encourage you to go. The food was excellent, their bloody was great and their service was top-notch.

Cheers!
