Today, I went to the Milwaukee’s Largest Bloody Mary Party at Great Lakes Distillery. This was the third year for this event, and the third year for us attending it as well. Each year, there are more and more people attending, which is a great sign. This year was especially great as Great Lakes Distillery has added on a fantastic bar in the last year, adding more seating and ambiance to the venue.
For just $5 and a donation of food to Hunger Task Force, you get part of a 100 gallon Bloody Mary made with Rehorst Gin or Vodka and Jimmy Luv’s mix. It comes with a pickle, olive and Klement’s beef stick.
This year, they added in a garnish competition. Trocadero and INdustri Cafe sold skewers of items that you could add to your Bloody. I purchased a skewer from Trocadero (pictured above—cheese, peppers, pepperoni and olives).
There were also samples of pickled asparagus and beans from Steppin’ Out Foods, as well as extra cheese cubes and teriyaki beef sticks to try at another table.
Needless to say, the Bloodies were flowing and they were awesome!
The Klement’s Famous Racing Sausages made an appearance at the event and raffle prizes were given away throughout the day.
In addition to the donations of food, all proceeds from the event benefit the Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee.
