Mequon, WI: Cafe 1505

Last night, I attended a fundraiser at Cafe 1505 in Mequon. While the event featured wine and beer, it was the Bloody Mary listed on their chalkboard that caught my eye.

I inquired and was told their Happy Hour “Verde Mary” was not green as I would have thought, but rather just quite spicy. The Monticello, on the other hand, was more unique– it is made using a Sage Liqueur and a homemade miz.

Fortunately, they were serving them even though it was a special event and a Friday night.

Cafe 1505 Bloody Mary

Mix: Homemade with Sacramento Tomato Juice, Sage Liqueur, Pickle Juice and Horseradish

Chaser: No

Fixin’s: Lemon, Lime, Olive, 2 cubes of cheese and a slice of sausage.

Price: $9.50

This Bloody Mary was delicious. You could definitely taste the Sage Liqueur, but it wasn’t too overpowering or distracting. It meshed nicely with the Sacramento tomato juice (my favorite!) and the other flavors.

I would definitely order this drink again and encourage you to give it a try if you find yourself at Cafe 1505.
